ABOUT US

ECAiR welcomes artists to a sub-urban yet multifaceted environment in Kuantan, providing a peaceful and inspiring setting. From 1 to 12 months, enjoy our residency where, at your convenience, you will be be given the possibility of exhibiting your artworks, hold public talks or lectures or none of the above.

We truly believe one needs time and space to create.

RESIDENCY

FEE

1 to 3 months = RM 2,500 per month (approx:USD600)
3 months and more = RM 2,200 per month (approx: USD535)

Private bedroom (shared or private bathroom available on first come first serve basis)

Location

KUANTAN (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kuantan), is a developing small town located in the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia, in the largest Pahang state of the Peninsular Island, offering a true local Malaysian experience surrounded by rainforest and refreshing crystal clear island beaches.

Unlike the capital city Kuala Lumpur, Kuantan offers a peaceful getaway from hectic lifestyle where culture will be a big part of your experience, you can cycle around the town, visit the famous flora and fauna just miles away, tasting the very affordable traditional cuisines and most importantly, getting inspirations from the surroundings, as well as new ideas for your creations.

WHO CAN APPLY

We welcome artists of all disciplines. From writers to sculptors, painters to filmmakers, fresh graduates to established artists from all around the world. We only accommodate maximum of 4 artists at a time.
